Adulthood

Just something I was thinking about today…
I’m going to be 36 on Friday and that got me wondering, when will I feel like an adult? I know legally I was considered an adult at 18 but emotionally I’m still waiting for it to happen. I’ve went through several things in my life that would qualify me for adulthood like, moving out of my parent’s house, getting a real job, getting married and having children but when I’m sick I still want my mommy. When someone asks me how old I am, I have to think about it. Not because I want to tell them a false age but because I still don’t think of myself as a grown up.
Happy Birthday to my firstborn and favorite daughter.Your Dad & I had never experienced such joy as we had the day you were born. We wouldn’t change a thing about you- except to hear you are getting more sleep!Enjoy your day and your week end. We love you so much.
